税に関する英語表現 Part 7

今回ご紹介するのは「市町村税＝Municipal taxes」です。

こちらも大きく2種類に分けられてあり、

「普通税 ＝ Ordinary taxes」

と

「目的税 ＝ Earmarked taxes」

があり、普通税だけでもなんと9種類！

具体的には

市町村民税 ＝ city town and village inhabitant taxes

こちらはさらに個人、法人に分けられます。

固定資産税 = fixed assets tax

軽自動車税 = light motor vehicle tax

軽自動車税環境性能割 = light motor vehicle tax (environmental excite)

軽自動車税種別割 = light motor vehicle tax (category base)

市町村たばこ税 = municipal tobacco tax

鉱産税 = mine production tax

特別土地保有税 = special land possession tax

法定外普通税 = discretionary ordinary tax

あまり聞いたことがない税があるのはいいとしても、最後の「法定外普通税」？

「法定外」なのに「普通」とはいかにも不可解ですね。
